We minister to kids from 1 year through 5th grade, equipping them for their lifelong journey with Jesus by meeting them right where they are and by guiding and encouraging them along the way. Relationships are built not only with our kids, but also with their families as we partner together to see each child grow in his or her faith.
One way we teach is by providing an environment that allows the kids to learn by using different methods of teaching styles. Regular praise and worship through singing, learning memory verses, storytelling, art, prayer, care projects and participating in skits is an active part of our experience with kids at Evergreen. All children are given a Bible and encouraged to make it a part of their faith journey by reading, memorizing scripture and learning to locate all the books of the Bible.
We provide Sunday morning classrooms for kids 1st-5th grade at the 10am service. Spaces in the worship center and in the lobby are available for babies under 1 year to play with their parent, while still enjoying the service. Kids 6th grade and up are invited and encouraged to be a part of the main gathering.
School aged kids meet in the service for the beginning of worship then they are prayed over as a group and dismissed to classrooms with their teachers. They will return to sit with their parents for worship and communion following the sermon. Toddlers and Pre-K children can be dropped off in their classrooms at 10 am and can be picked up after the service.
Volunteers are always needed!
